Introducing Elias Matthew Walters

We had a very exciting anniversary this year - Elias Matthew Walters was born 12/30/11 at 8:05pm. 6 lbs and 18.5 inches long. He was only 35.5 weeks, so a bit earlier than expected. Just so happened that he was born on our 7 th wedding anniversary! James has named the baby Cubby , because he loves the show Jake and the Neverland Pirates on the Disney Channel. James is so emphatic about the name (and has been ever since we found out he was expecting a brother) that we also call the baby Cubby most of the time. Since it was our anniversary and Tobias was off work for the holidays still we decided to have a family day and we went to Annapolis, about 1.5 hours from home and where we planned to deliver. We went to a movie, got hair cuts for Tobias and James, and then to PF Chang's for dinner. Things got a bit exciting at dinner! We made it to the hospital at 7:15pm and Cubby was born at 8:05pm. I had a drug free natural child birth that went very smoothly. He was a very healthy baby...

Christmas

James and I ready for the Army-Navy game. No question which team we were cheering on! It's always fun to win, but we do feel for the Black Knights who haven't won in 10 years - since we were at the Academy. The goat is old and gnarly and he's never been to school. But he can take the bacon from that worn out Army mule. He's got no education but he's brimmin ' full of fight, and Bill will feast on Army mule tonight! Army, Army call the doctor. James isn't sure what to think about Santa and Mrs. Clause. He told Mrs. Clause he wanted strawberries for Christmas, which she thought was pretty funny! Handsome boy! James was able to make Christmas presents this year with Daddy's help. Cooking with Daddy is so much fun and a good time for cuddles and hugs! Their homemade caramel popcorn was super yummy! They also made chocolate covered pretzels. Tasty! James did a nice job making all the treats. On Christmas Day I worked, but we were able to open our stockings...

Thanksgiving

We were fortunate to spend Thanksgiving surrounded by good friends! James dressed himself for Thanksgiving dinner and looked great in his tie! His buddy, Abby, was also dressed to the nines! And the food was wonderful - James and Abby especially enjoyed the turkey cake! My handsome guys - looking nice before church one Sunday. Family picture time! Tobias and I also enjoyed attending a friend's wedding at the Academy. It was fun to go around Annapolis all dressed up!
