Elias is 2

Happy Birthday to our little Elias! Hard to believe he is now two years old. Happy Anniversary to Tobias and I - today is our 9th wedding anniversary as well.    Elias enjoyed his birthday cupcake! Tasty birthday cupcake cake! We celebrated a couple of days early while Grandpa Mel was still visiting. Elias' favorite food is pizza so we ordered in pizza for his birthday dinner.  We've enjoyed a wonderful month of December.  The boys really enjoyed the Advent season and were really excited for the arrival of Christmas.  Grandpa Mel flew in from California to celebrate Christmas with us and we all enjoyed a great visit. Elias and Tobias enjoyed helping each other open their Christmas present.  James didn't need any help opening up his presents! Elias' favorite present was a ukulele.  He loves music.  James asked for this special chair - complete with a book light, cup holder, and back massag...

James is 6!

In the words of a wise friend today, "What an incredible and precious gift.  God is so good!"  Happy 6th Birthday to our sweet little boy!  Tobias made pancakes and eggs for breakfast.  We put a candle in the birthday boy's pancake!  Fun times. The birthday presents - woohoo! Two different Lego sets!  While James opened, Eli was content to rip apart the open envelopes. Super fun cards too! And a special sweatshirt for the cold weather here! And perhaps the biggest hit was the Florida Gators sock monkey, named Saka.  He is currently watching a movie with us. Cambridge hosts a family literacy festival every year and it happened to fall on James' birthday.  Perfect family fun including face painting, free books, and a magic show. During the magic show Tobias was selected to participate up front - but he had to wear the Rastafarian hat!  James thought that was pretty cool.   ...

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  We had a great evening out trick or treating in Cambridge.  The boys used the same costumes as last year - Batman and Robin.     Showing off their pumpkins.  Tobias carved artificial pumpkins with candle lights a couple of years ago.  They work well in an apartment too! There was even candy in the common area in our apartment.  Tasty! My super heroes! Pushing the elevator button is always fun for the boys! Eli actually wore his mask yesterday while we played outside. We live close enough to walk James to and from school.  In the afternoons we stop at a local park - here we are relaxing together earlier today. Robin! Batman! Sorry it's so blurry! Happy Halloween!

The big move!

The Walters have moved again!  This is the 3rd sates James has lived in and he's not even 6 yet!  Both boys have handled the move very well and we are all enjoying our new home in Cambridge, MA. Boxes, boxes everywhere!  So we decided to make a fort! We are so fortunate to have found a great school for James.  He enjoys his new teacher and friends.  We are also keeping in touch with our friends from MD and FL too! James' first day of school in MA!  Look at those beautiful Fall colors. His new cubby! But with all these changes the boys have enjoyed lots of cuddle time too! And the entire reason we have moved here is for Tobias to attend graduate school at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  It's an awesome experience for our entire family!  Tobias will start school in January.  It will take him about a year and a half to finish his program. Tobias' parents are proud of him t...
