We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and head up to Washington D.C. for the 100th Cherry Blossom Festival. The weather was really warm - mid 80s - and the blossoms were already in full bloom. None of us have ever been to the festival before and it was an amazing experience. This was James' first time going to the National Mall and he really enjoyed himself. Eli slept through the majority of the day, but was awake for part of it. We packed a picnic lunch and ate on the Mall. Then we stopped for a snack in the shade of the cherry blossoms. Viewing the monuments through the blossoms was truly beautiful. We walked about 5 miles during our adventure. By the end of the afternoon James was asleep in the stroller (a funny sight since he's so big) and Eli was asleep in the wrap!
