Another Fun Adventure

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and head up to Washington D.C. for the 100th Cherry Blossom Festival. The weather was really warm - mid 80s - and the blossoms were already in full bloom. None of us have ever been to the festival before and it was an amazing experience. This was James' first time going to the National Mall and he really enjoyed himself. Eli slept through the majority of the day, but was awake for part of it. We packed a picnic lunch and ate on the Mall. Then we stopped for a snack in the shade of the cherry blossoms. Viewing the monuments through the blossoms was truly beautiful. We walked about 5 miles during our adventure. By the end of the afternoon James was asleep in the stroller (a funny sight since he's so big) and Eli was asleep in the wrap! Here we are in front of the Jefferson Memorial looking across the Tidal Basin toward the National Mall. Tobias and I took a self portrait while both boys were snoozing. During the day we ...

Family Day

It's hard to believe... but 4 years ago we finalized James' adoption. We now celebrate Walters Family Day every March 19 th ! This year we celebrated at home with popcorn, homemade pizza, and a movie! James was a big helper with every step. Our whole wheat pizza crust was perfect! Next it was time for the sauce and turkey pepperoni. Tasty! Now the veggies - peppers, onions, and olives. Daddy and Cubby helped put the cheese on our pizza! Now it's ready for the oven! Our proud chef! Time to eat! We decided to watch "Tin Tin." This is a special movie to our family, as it's the movie we saw in theaters the day Cubby was born. We ate our pizza and popcorn while we watched our movie! We are so happy we're a family! James' is doing great with his letters. He wrote all of our names (we told him what letters to use, but he wrote them all by himself) on our back porch. Feeling so blessed to have our family of 4!

Getting to know eachother!

James is really starting to enjoy Legos. Showing off his new creation - Superman and Lex Luthor! Super heros and Legos - so much fun! Eli is learning to smile - which we are really enjoying! I think my boys have the cutest eyes ever - James' eyes are a beautiful green-blue and Eli's remain a bluish grey. Eli is gaining weight - now about 12lbs and he was 50th percentile for weight and 60th percentile for height at his 2 month check-up when compared to term babies! Glad that he's catching up! I really wonder what he's thinking! Smolder?? I had to show off this - James' is on the left and Eli's is on the right. Look at how close the size is - pretty amazing since Eli was 4.5 weeks early! He really wants to keep up with his big brother! I also love that you can see that James has fast running feet even as a newborn! Here's looking at you, kid! Bandit with his boys - funny that only James is enjoying this picture! Everyone loves "Pat the Bunny...
