Farm, Fair, and Family

James has had an exciting summer with trips to California for Aunt Marthaa's wedding, trips to the beach and aquarium, and fun under the sun at the pool. To wrap up his summer James went to visit his grandparents on the farm. Tobias and I weren't along on this trip and James sure was spoiled! To keep track of James while he roamed around Tobias' family's farm in Kansas, he wore a bright orange hunters hat. James loves animals, especially dogs. James really enjoyed the Boarder Collies on the farm. On the move! James loved running all around the farm. He only stopped to eat and sleep! James also enjoyed helping Grandma Edie water her garden. Uncle Kyle and James had a great time together. Here's Uncle Kyle and James getting ready for football season - "Touchdown!" This is my favorite picture of the entire trip. Here's James running down the driveway to Grandma and Grandpa's farm. Here's a picture at the grain elevator where Grandpa Jim works...

Oceans of Fun

We were able to visit Atlanta for a few days this summer and here are some pictures from our adventure. Here we are at Olympic Park were they held the 1996 Summer Olympics. NEMO!!! James practically crawled over the top of people to get a glimpse of his favorite fish! It was amazing to see the Georgia Aquarium through James' eyes. It really does add excitement and wonder to the experience. The aquarium has one of the largest viewing tanks in the world. The view was amazing! Dad! Look at the shark! Our little oceanographer, classifying the fish that he sees. Checking off his list as he goes. There are four whale sharks at the aquarium and the size and scope of these animals is breathtaking. WOW! James really enjoyed the aquarium and talked/jabberwocked my ear off pointing out all the fisssshh. It was a memorable time for us all. We were lucky to have James' God Father, Andy stop by on his way to San Diego. Good Luck Andy! We love you.

Fun in the sun!

We have had a good time since Aunt Marthaa's wedding. James is growing so much! Aunt Teri had a friend visit from Kansas. Here are the girls all ready for a night on the town - watch out Jacksonville. Aunt Teri is on the right. James has decided that he loves sunglasses. Here he is in his sunglasses and his daddy's hat. Here he got hold of Aunt Teri's glasses and is having fun showing them off. Tobias and James are showing off their super cool aviator sunglasses. Another thing that James loves, is to go swimming. He also has figured out that he is capable of pushing his stroller so when we go for walks he wants to get out and push or sometimes just run. He has one speed and that is run. Not walk. Not jog. Run. It makes life interesting. James makes art projects at daycare and one of the projects is the hat that he is wearing in this picture. It is his Fourth of July firecracker hat. :)

Aunt Marthaa's Wedding

We've had a great month. A busy month, but a great month. The highlight was definitely going to Aunt Marthaa's wedding in California. It was a short weekend trip, but it was still a lot of fun. Here is James reading to Aunt Teri on the flight to Aunt Marthaa's wedding. James was a trooper... for the most part. Here he is complaining about how he doesn't like his penguin suit. James' favorite part of the wedding was playing with Chadd's iphone light sab. My favorite part was seeing my family. Here's a picture of Jill Mama, Grandpa Mel, and Aunt Marthaa. I also enjoyed seeing my friends. Here I am with my best friends, Jill and Stephanie. Aunt Marthaa looking stunning right before her walk down the isle. James enjoying wedding cake. Before we headed out for Aunt Marthaa's Wedding we practiced our smiles for the camera. James is getting the hang of the concept of smiling at the camera when someone says "say cheese." Daddy, Mommy, and James danc...
