Introduction to James, Elias, and Cora

It's been an exciting month around here.  Including a field trip to the National Zoo with James' preschool, visiting family in Kansas and Colorado, and some fun times around our house with 2 growing boys! James and I made some cookies for a bake sale.  James insisted on changing into his Spider man costume first.  I don't know why, but I thought it was pretty funny. First time trying rice cereal.  We started James on cereal pretty early and he was all about it.  Eli isn't quite ready yet as we found out after giving him a bit! We went to a local pick your own strawberry farm with a group of friends.  It was so fun!  James and his buddy, Abby!  They enjoyed running and playing much more than actually picking the strawberries. I really enjoyed picking strawberries.  Eli just wanted to nap though!  Our trip to Kansas was amazing!  James even learned about pool.  Big smiles for Uncle Kyle and Aunt ...

Happy Easter!  We spent Easter Sunday in Jacksonville, FL visiting with family and friends.  It was a great way to spend Easter! We dyed Easter eggs.  Lots of fun! Showing off the eggs in the Easter egg hunt!  Can you spot the egg? James had a blast with an Easter egg hunt!  I think my favorite part of the entire weekend was watching him search for his eggs!   Easter morning!  We were fortunate to attend service at the church we attended in Jacksonville. My handsome sons on Easter Sunday! James was very happy with his Easter basket!   We spent lots of time enjoying the fun activities in Jacksonville.  We made it up to the Jacksonville Zoo twice! We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and head up to Washington D.C. for the 100th Cherry Blossom Festival. The weather was really warm - mid 80s - and the blossoms were already in full bloom. None of us have ever been to the festival before and it was an amazing experience. This was James' first time going to the National Mall and he really enjoyed himself. Eli slept through the majority of the day, but was awake for part of it. We packed a picnic lunch and ate on the Mall. Then we stopped for a snack in the shade of the cherry blossoms. Viewing the monuments through the blossoms was truly beautiful. We walked about 5 miles during our adventure. By the end of the afternoon James was asleep in the stroller (a funny sight since he's so big) and Eli was asleep in the wrap!
