Hot Fun in the Summer time

Hard to believe that it's already July!  We are enjoying a wonderful summer so far.  The garden is going great and we've spent a lot of time outside.  The boys are growing so fast - hard to believe I have a 5.5 year old and a 1.5 year old now!

So fun to spend time outside when you have these beautiful flowers in your backyard!  Tobias has such a green thumb.

Enjoying the rainy days too.

Love this picture!  James (my little rule follower) with the umbrella and Elias (my little tactile man) has taken off his shoes and is ready to get soaked.

James and I went to a local water park.  He wouldn't smile for a picture with me, so we made angry faces instead!

Elias loves his tractor!  He will go on walks around our neighborhood pushing his tractor around.

James is learning to ride his bike without training wheels.
Cool guy!
Our boys love their outdoor pool!  Perfect size for those 2 to splash around.

What would summer be without some ice cream treats?!
Tobias and James lead the way!
Bike riding fun - Elias is in a bike trailer and actually fell asleep on this bike ride.

While James is at track practice Eli rides his tricycle around.

James school had an end of the year carnival and we were able to participate.  It was a fun time.

Some berries from our berry patch in the back yard!

A close up of our berries!

Just one of the tasty treats we've made with our homemade berries.
JillMama came out for a short visit and the boys loved it!  James and JillMama spent some time reading and relaxing outside.

Oh my how the boys are growing. I had to do a double take with the picture of James and Eli. It looked like Tobias standing there. He sure must have a green thumb as your berries look fantastic. We hope you continue to enjoy the summer... rain and all and thanks for sharing

Fast as the Flash

The boys have a need for speed!  Recently James and Eli built Pine Wood derby cars to compete in the James' Boy Scout troop. In the beginning... We did some scholarly research to prepare.  Thank you YouTube! My step-dad, AKA Pawpaw was a big help and taught James to use power tools. Sanding is always fun! James designed and built his car with minimal assistance. Spray paint is always fun. Added weights to make it as heavy as the rules allowed. The finished products! The race was a lot of fun! James didn't win but he worked really hard and was really proud of his car. While his derby car wasn't the fastest, James was the fastest in a recent track race.  My future Olympic sprinter!   Zoom zoom zoom

M-I-C-K-E-Y and a bunch of other fun stuff

Everyone grab their Mickey Ears!  We just returned from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World.  We flew down to FL from MA, my sister and her beautiful family and my aunt and cousin all flew from CA, and my mom traveled from MO!   All 11 of us stayed in one beautiful villa right on the Walt Disney property and had a great time. We celebrated JillMama's 60th birthday in style.   We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday while in WDW! Everyone had a great time! We celebrated Halloween a little early at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!   Can you tell we're the Avengers!?!  Eli was the Incredible Hulk, Tobias was Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man), James was Captain America, and I was Black Widow. By the end of the night, the Incredible Hulk was done, but still really cute! Gabe (age 4) and James got along great! Elias and Gavin (also 2) were fast friends too. Fun times on a ride with my little man! Rrrr Matey!  ...

Winter in Boston

Happy February!  I can't believe I haven't updated since November when we've had such an exciting couple of months!   Our Lego family for Christmas 2014 designed by James!  There are a lot of firsts and developmental milestones in first grade!  James finished his first chapter book over the Christmas break!  So proud of him - he is reading above grade level. James also remains very active with track and is working with his gym teacher to start a running club at his elementary school! This was a fun assignment for the entire family.  Once he completed the assignment, James presented it to his class. We did family Christmas pictures this year with a great photographer.  We met at Minute Man National Park - where Paul Revere was captured- and had fun taking pictures together.  I worked the night before and it was cold out, but the pictures still turned out great! The 2014 Walters Family Christmas picture! My two cuti...
