Happy 7th Birthday James!

Happy Fall!  Fall means party time for the Walters' Family!
The boys enjoying a fall display near our apartment.
Tobias starts birthday season for us!  We did a 3 candle, 2 candle, and a couple extra candles on top
(for a  total of 38ish)  of a German chocolate cake.  Fun times.
The boys were invited to a birthday costume party.  Elias went as Woody!
James' costume this year was the Flash!  Which fits perfectly since he remains a great runner.
Our superhero boys showing their skills.  Green Lantern and Flash from the Justice League!
Getting ready for a fun night of trick or treating.
Time for some selfies!
Angry face selfies!
Fish lip selfie!
The big birthday around here in the Fall is James.  Hard to believe that Sweet Baby James is now a sweet seven year old!
We started the day off with a birthday cinnamon roll on the special plate!
For birthday dinner this year, James chose burgers and beers... root beer of course!

After some research we decided on the Boston Burger Company - tasty tasty!
A root beer is one of James' favorite drinks!
Look at that burger!
It was a great day of celebration for the entire family!
We continue to enjoy the family bike, and we even rode the bike for transportation to birthday dinner.
For dessert we enjoyed an ice cream cake.
This is how a seven year old does push ups!  What a rock star!  We sure are proud of this kid!

It is hard to believe he is 7 although he is a big boy! Pretty strong and fast for his age. Happy belated birthday to Tobias and James. Loved their halloween costumes and glad to see they are the good guys!Enjoy Fall

Fast as the Flash

The boys have a need for speed!  Recently James and Eli built Pine Wood derby cars to compete in the James' Boy Scout troop. In the beginning... We did some scholarly research to prepare.  Thank you YouTube! My step-dad, AKA Pawpaw was a big help and taught James to use power tools. Sanding is always fun! James designed and built his car with minimal assistance. Spray paint is always fun. Added weights to make it as heavy as the rules allowed. The finished products! The race was a lot of fun! James didn't win but he worked really hard and was really proud of his car. While his derby car wasn't the fastest, James was the fastest in a recent track race.  My future Olympic sprinter!   Zoom zoom zoom

M-I-C-K-E-Y and a bunch of other fun stuff

Everyone grab their Mickey Ears!  We just returned from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World.  We flew down to FL from MA, my sister and her beautiful family and my aunt and cousin all flew from CA, and my mom traveled from MO!   All 11 of us stayed in one beautiful villa right on the Walt Disney property and had a great time. We celebrated JillMama's 60th birthday in style.   We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday while in WDW! Everyone had a great time! We celebrated Halloween a little early at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!   Can you tell we're the Avengers!?!  Eli was the Incredible Hulk, Tobias was Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man), James was Captain America, and I was Black Widow. By the end of the night, the Incredible Hulk was done, but still really cute! Gabe (age 4) and James got along great! Elias and Gavin (also 2) were fast friends too. Fun times on a ride with my little man! Rrrr Matey!  ...

Winter in Boston

Happy February!  I can't believe I haven't updated since November when we've had such an exciting couple of months!   Our Lego family for Christmas 2014 designed by James!  There are a lot of firsts and developmental milestones in first grade!  James finished his first chapter book over the Christmas break!  So proud of him - he is reading above grade level. James also remains very active with track and is working with his gym teacher to start a running club at his elementary school! This was a fun assignment for the entire family.  Once he completed the assignment, James presented it to his class. We did family Christmas pictures this year with a great photographer.  We met at Minute Man National Park - where Paul Revere was captured- and had fun taking pictures together.  I worked the night before and it was cold out, but the pictures still turned out great! The 2014 Walters Family Christmas picture! My two cuti...
