Christmas 2015

Merry Christmas from the Walters Family!  This year we are spending Christmas in Missouri.  We are happy to share with you all how we celebrated Christmas 2015.
Mommy and her little Elf's decorated the tree.
The tree!  So many wonderful gifts for everyone!
All ready for Mass.  This year we attended Midnight Mass (actually at midnight) so we could hear my mom and her choir.  It was a lovely service and the kids were great sports about being woken up in the middle of the night.
Thankful for my wonderful family. My dad flew in from California to spend Christmas with us this year too.

Cora's favorite presents - Jingle Bells!
Modeling his new robe and slipper!
It was a Star Wars Christmas around here.
Darth Vader and his Storm Trooper!
It was a magical Christmas morning with these three precious kids.
Elias is so excited with his new camera.
Our baby girl enjoyed Christmas this year.

We enjoyed celebrating with my mom and her husband this year too.  First Christmas we've ever spent with them since our kids arrived.

The stockings were hung... The presents were wrapped... Let the fun begin!
Another highlight of the Christmas season has been watching the kids learn about Christmas with their classmates and friends.
James and his classmates did a rockin' good job at their Christmas performance.
James and his Cub Scout troop created and then hand delivered Christmas cards at the local VA home.

Elias and his classmates performed a wonderful Christmas Nativity for us to enjoy too.
The cutest little sheep ever!  Baa

Fast as the Flash

The boys have a need for speed!  Recently James and Eli built Pine Wood derby cars to compete in the James' Boy Scout troop. In the beginning... We did some scholarly research to prepare.  Thank you YouTube! My step-dad, AKA Pawpaw was a big help and taught James to use power tools. Sanding is always fun! James designed and built his car with minimal assistance. Spray paint is always fun. Added weights to make it as heavy as the rules allowed. The finished products! The race was a lot of fun! James didn't win but he worked really hard and was really proud of his car. While his derby car wasn't the fastest, James was the fastest in a recent track race.  My future Olympic sprinter!   Zoom zoom zoom

M-I-C-K-E-Y and a bunch of other fun stuff

Everyone grab their Mickey Ears!  We just returned from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World.  We flew down to FL from MA, my sister and her beautiful family and my aunt and cousin all flew from CA, and my mom traveled from MO!   All 11 of us stayed in one beautiful villa right on the Walt Disney property and had a great time. We celebrated JillMama's 60th birthday in style.   We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday while in WDW! Everyone had a great time! We celebrated Halloween a little early at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!   Can you tell we're the Avengers!?!  Eli was the Incredible Hulk, Tobias was Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man), James was Captain America, and I was Black Widow. By the end of the night, the Incredible Hulk was done, but still really cute! Gabe (age 4) and James got along great! Elias and Gavin (also 2) were fast friends too. Fun times on a ride with my little man! Rrrr Matey!  ...

Winter in Boston

Happy February!  I can't believe I haven't updated since November when we've had such an exciting couple of months!   Our Lego family for Christmas 2014 designed by James!  There are a lot of firsts and developmental milestones in first grade!  James finished his first chapter book over the Christmas break!  So proud of him - he is reading above grade level. James also remains very active with track and is working with his gym teacher to start a running club at his elementary school! This was a fun assignment for the entire family.  Once he completed the assignment, James presented it to his class. We did family Christmas pictures this year with a great photographer.  We met at Minute Man National Park - where Paul Revere was captured- and had fun taking pictures together.  I worked the night before and it was cold out, but the pictures still turned out great! The 2014 Walters Family Christmas picture! My two cuti...
