There's a New Sheriff in Town!

Tobias finally made it home about 8pm on Friday! James was so funny on the ride home. He just kept saying, "Dada" over and over again. We are so happy that Daddy made it home safely. We missed him.

Tobias' first order of business was to get rid of those gorgeous curls James was sporting.
I love his expression in this one. He looks so unsure, but willing to see what's going to happen.
Can you believe all those curls?!

How handsome he is with his new haircut.

Before.
After. To celebrate the first haircut, Tobias treated James to his first ice cream. They shared strawberry ice cream. You can kind of see in the ice cream running down his chin in this picture. This is just a funny picture of James chewing on a chicken bone. It's funny, plus it shows off his beautiful eyes.Story time with Daddy is so much fun! Look at James standing - so big!Tobias has been great with James. They spent all day Monday together and are just two peas in a pod. James has become really clingy since Tobias came home, which is understandable. It's pretty upsetting to have someone you love come and go. Now they have time to just enjoy one another! James still loves his books!

He is such a happy baby! We can't believe how big he is already. These 11 months have just flown by!

And now for the grand finale. This video shows James walking! That's right - walking! And in typical style, Bandit is in the video too!

He's looking like a handsome military man with that haircut. Daddy looks as happy to see him as he is to see daddy. He seems sooo grown up and cute as can be. I love the way you post with all the cute comments. "New sheriff in town"

Fast as the Flash

The boys have a need for speed!  Recently James and Eli built Pine Wood derby cars to compete in the James' Boy Scout troop. In the beginning... We did some scholarly research to prepare.  Thank you YouTube! My step-dad, AKA Pawpaw was a big help and taught James to use power tools. Sanding is always fun! James designed and built his car with minimal assistance. Spray paint is always fun. Added weights to make it as heavy as the rules allowed. The finished products! The race was a lot of fun! James didn't win but he worked really hard and was really proud of his car. While his derby car wasn't the fastest, James was the fastest in a recent track race.  My future Olympic sprinter!   Zoom zoom zoom

Everyone grab their Mickey Ears!  We just returned from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World.  We flew down to FL from MA, my sister and her beautiful family and my aunt and cousin all flew from CA, and my mom traveled from MO!   All 11 of us stayed in one beautiful villa right on the Walt Disney property and had a great time. We celebrated JillMama's 60th birthday in style.   We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday while in WDW! Everyone had a great time! We celebrated Halloween a little early at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!   Can you tell we're the Avengers!?!  Eli was the Incredible Hulk, Tobias was Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man), James was Captain America, and I was Black Widow. By the end of the night, the Incredible Hulk was done, but still really cute! Gabe (age 4) and James got along great! Elias and Gavin (also 2) were fast friends too. Fun times on a ride with my little man! Rrrr Matey!  ...

Winter in Boston

Happy February!  I can't believe I haven't updated since November when we've had such an exciting couple of months!   Our Lego family for Christmas 2014 designed by James!  There are a lot of firsts and developmental milestones in first grade!  James finished his first chapter book over the Christmas break!  So proud of him - he is reading above grade level. James also remains very active with track and is working with his gym teacher to start a running club at his elementary school! This was a fun assignment for the entire family.  Once he completed the assignment, James presented it to his class. We did family Christmas pictures this year with a great photographer.  We met at Minute Man National Park - where Paul Revere was captured- and had fun taking pictures together.  I worked the night before and it was cold out, but the pictures still turned out great! The 2014 Walters Family Christmas picture! My two cuti...
