Everyone was feeling patriotic. Here's James and his buddy, Clayton, showing their pride.
James helped prepare for Daddy's homecoming by making this very special sign. It wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but I'm awfully glad that James added his own artistic influence.
Watching the mighty Mac pulling in. Tobias deployed onboard the USS McInerney (FFG 8) the oldest commissioned ship in the US Navy, excluding the USS Constitution (which has sails) up in Boston.
Edie, Tobias' mom, and I showing our excitement.
While it was hard to have Tobias gone for so long, we are so proud of him!
Can you spot Tobias?
James had no problems spotting his Daddy and running into his arms. It was a perfect moment! And Tobias couldn't have been happier to have his boy meet him as soon as he stepped off the boat.
My personal favorite picture of the 100+ we took that morning - James holding on tight to his daddy.
After James finally let go, I finally got a hug and kiss from Tobias too. Notice James was right there ready for more hugs and kisses from Daddy!
Tobias is finally home! Here's Tobias immediate family - Edie (mom), Teri (baby sister), and Josh (younger brother). Josh is living with us right now, but Edie and Teri flew in from KS for the big celebration.
It's a wonderful feeling to have Tobias home.
Bandit was also very happy to see Tobias!
James and Tobias are enjoying some bonding time. James really enjoyed showing Tobias his new Batman toys.
Since Tobias has been home we've been busy having lots of fun. We went to the beach earlier this week which everyone really enjoyed!
After all that playtime James and I needed some rest though!
We also took some time to visit the wonderful Jacksonville zoo.
James is sure a strong little guy - here he is playing on the monkey ropes.
We also made time for Tobias and I to go on a date. Here we are just before we headed out to dinner. James didn't join us for dinner, but wanted to be in our picture.
The Florida family is back together again - and we couldn't be happier.
