Ready for Spring

James his best buddies. Believe it or not, but James is the youngest of these 3 kids. The little girl is about 6 months older than James and the little boy is just 2 weeks older than James. Gives a bit of reference to his height! We have been fighting colds for part of the past month. Here's a picture of James in bed trying to get better. Thank goodness for the iPad, James was able to lay in bed and relax.

It wasn't too long before James had bounced back and was his playful self again.

The weather is warming up so James is able to play outside some afternoons. Tobias is going to build James a sandbox in the backyard. James loves to dig!

James and I spend a few minutes every day working on preschool workbooks. Here we are working on writing our letters.

Spring will be here in a couple of weeks and I had to get James some new clothes. I bought several outfits for him and bought mostly size 6 or boys medium. We had a fashion show earlier today - here are pictures of James in his new duds. You might also notice evidence of the donuts we had for breakfast in the pictures!

James is showing off his big muscles in his new swim trunks. He uses he car wheel (full of all his cars) to do his exercises. James goes to the gym with us sometimes so he watches and does his own exercises. Plus he's naturally so active and athletic he is a ripped little 3 year old!
I like James to wear collared shirts to church, so we had to get some more of those for the spring.
James looks so good in orange, I love this shirt on him.
I saw this shirt and just had to get it for James. It says "I'm gonna be on a cereal box someday." James' potential is limitless.
Mr. Tough Guy!
James brings us so much joy! Just check out that awesome smile. This shirt says "This is what a champion looks like."

James is even learning how to ride a bike with training wheels. He's all set with a red bike and a Spider Man helmet. Although he can still run faster than he can peddle.

Fast as the Flash

The boys have a need for speed!  Recently James and Eli built Pine Wood derby cars to compete in the James' Boy Scout troop. In the beginning... We did some scholarly research to prepare.  Thank you YouTube! My step-dad, AKA Pawpaw was a big help and taught James to use power tools. Sanding is always fun! James designed and built his car with minimal assistance. Spray paint is always fun. Added weights to make it as heavy as the rules allowed. The finished products! The race was a lot of fun! James didn't win but he worked really hard and was really proud of his car. While his derby car wasn't the fastest, James was the fastest in a recent track race.  My future Olympic sprinter!   Zoom zoom zoom

Everyone grab their Mickey Ears!  We just returned from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World.  We flew down to FL from MA, my sister and her beautiful family and my aunt and cousin all flew from CA, and my mom traveled from MO!   All 11 of us stayed in one beautiful villa right on the Walt Disney property and had a great time. We celebrated JillMama's 60th birthday in style.   We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday while in WDW! Everyone had a great time! We celebrated Halloween a little early at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!   Can you tell we're the Avengers!?!  Eli was the Incredible Hulk, Tobias was Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man), James was Captain America, and I was Black Widow. By the end of the night, the Incredible Hulk was done, but still really cute! Gabe (age 4) and James got along great! Elias and Gavin (also 2) were fast friends too. Fun times on a ride with my little man! Rrrr Matey!  ...

Winter in Boston

Happy February!  I can't believe I haven't updated since November when we've had such an exciting couple of months!   Our Lego family for Christmas 2014 designed by James!  There are a lot of firsts and developmental milestones in first grade!  James finished his first chapter book over the Christmas break!  So proud of him - he is reading above grade level. James also remains very active with track and is working with his gym teacher to start a running club at his elementary school! This was a fun assignment for the entire family.  Once he completed the assignment, James presented it to his class. We did family Christmas pictures this year with a great photographer.  We met at Minute Man National Park - where Paul Revere was captured- and had fun taking pictures together.  I worked the night before and it was cold out, but the pictures still turned out great! The 2014 Walters Family Christmas picture! My two cuti...
