Almost Christmas!

Christmas is almost here - let the count down begin.  James asks almost daily if it's Christmas!  It is sure an exciting time around our house!

The monthly picture of the boys - they are getting so big!  It's hard to believe that Eli is soon one!

My boys take a break and play on the computer together.

Eli enjoyed his first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  It's one of my favorite TV programs and I love watching it Thanksgiving morning.

Tobias making some tasty side dishes for our Thanksgiving meal.  We celebrated Thanksgiving with 2 other families and it was a very fun day!
Eli and I are excited about all the delicious food on Thanksgiving.
Eli enjoyed Thanksgiving leftovers - especially the ham.

My future architect or maybe engineer!  James and Tobias love to build things together.

Another one of James' creation at school - a car made with feathers, toilet paper tube, and construction paper.  James explains how he built it while we eat breakfast.

James had a music performance at school.

Tobias and I really enjoyed enjoyed the concert - although the talent is still a bit undeveloped in the 4 and 5 year olds!

We all have our own Christmas stockings.  James was excited to show his brother that he has his own stocking too!

My men work together to put our angel on top of our tree this year.
Decorating our Christmas tree as a family.
We have a child friendly Nativity scene that the boys enjoy playing with, especially Eli!

Looks like everyone is ready for the holidays. Such an exciting time for little ones. The boys sure are getting big. They change so much the first few year and you can see the maturity that James is acquiring.... onto another year soon.

Fast as the Flash

The boys have a need for speed!  Recently James and Eli built Pine Wood derby cars to compete in the James' Boy Scout troop. In the beginning... We did some scholarly research to prepare.  Thank you YouTube! My step-dad, AKA Pawpaw was a big help and taught James to use power tools. Sanding is always fun! James designed and built his car with minimal assistance. Spray paint is always fun. Added weights to make it as heavy as the rules allowed. The finished products! The race was a lot of fun! James didn't win but he worked really hard and was really proud of his car. While his derby car wasn't the fastest, James was the fastest in a recent track race.  My future Olympic sprinter!   Zoom zoom zoom

M-I-C-K-E-Y and a bunch of other fun stuff

Everyone grab their Mickey Ears!  We just returned from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World.  We flew down to FL from MA, my sister and her beautiful family and my aunt and cousin all flew from CA, and my mom traveled from MO!   All 11 of us stayed in one beautiful villa right on the Walt Disney property and had a great time. We celebrated JillMama's 60th birthday in style.   We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday while in WDW! Everyone had a great time! We celebrated Halloween a little early at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!   Can you tell we're the Avengers!?!  Eli was the Incredible Hulk, Tobias was Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man), James was Captain America, and I was Black Widow. By the end of the night, the Incredible Hulk was done, but still really cute! Gabe (age 4) and James got along great! Elias and Gavin (also 2) were fast friends too. Fun times on a ride with my little man! Rrrr Matey!  ...

Winter in Boston

Happy February!  I can't believe I haven't updated since November when we've had such an exciting couple of months!   Our Lego family for Christmas 2014 designed by James!  There are a lot of firsts and developmental milestones in first grade!  James finished his first chapter book over the Christmas break!  So proud of him - he is reading above grade level. James also remains very active with track and is working with his gym teacher to start a running club at his elementary school! This was a fun assignment for the entire family.  Once he completed the assignment, James presented it to his class. We did family Christmas pictures this year with a great photographer.  We met at Minute Man National Park - where Paul Revere was captured- and had fun taking pictures together.  I worked the night before and it was cold out, but the pictures still turned out great! The 2014 Walters Family Christmas picture! My two cuti...
