Party in Houston

We were in Houston this past weekend to celebrate the wedding of my cousin.  The wedding was so much fun!  The highlight was seeing our families.  Tobias' parents flew in the help with the boys and both of my parents were there too.  It was a wonderful weekend.

James loves to dress up!  He was so excited to have his first jacket.  We're hoping he still fits it next year too (it's a size 8!).  Elias looked pretty handsome too, it was his fist time wearing a tie.

The Walters Family

Grandpa Mel (my dad), Grandpa Jim (Tobias' dad), Tobias, Grandma Edie (Tobias' mom) and my boys

JillMama, James, and I enjoyed the opportunity to be together!
Tobias and I had a blast in TX!  Tobias is wearing a new suit too!

My beautiful sister and her wonderful husband!

JillMama and her girls!  I am so happy to have such a lovely picture of the 3 of us.

Some of my favorite people - my mom, Aunt Tootsie, and Cousin Chrys!
I really enjoyed seeing my dad!  We had so much fun together.

James looks like one of the 'big boys' in this picture!  Hard to believe he's only 5!
My guys (except James - too much going on at that moment)!
The ceremony was held in a lovely Catholic church.
My dad and Aunt Tootsie really enjoyed their visit together.
It was great to see Marthaa and her husband, Jonathan.  They traveled all the way from CA for the wedding!
Fun times with my dad!
The bride and groom had a lovely first dance!
I must say that I think I had the best looking date!  We had so much fun that night!
Everything was so glamorous!
The wedding cake was lovely, but not as awesome as the view from the 42nd floor!
The Walters men - Tobias, my dad (my maiden name was also Walters), Elias, Jim (Tobias' dad), and James!

Fast as the Flash

The boys have a need for speed!  Recently James and Eli built Pine Wood derby cars to compete in the James' Boy Scout troop. In the beginning... We did some scholarly research to prepare.  Thank you YouTube! My step-dad, AKA Pawpaw was a big help and taught James to use power tools. Sanding is always fun! James designed and built his car with minimal assistance. Spray paint is always fun. Added weights to make it as heavy as the rules allowed. The finished products! The race was a lot of fun! James didn't win but he worked really hard and was really proud of his car. While his derby car wasn't the fastest, James was the fastest in a recent track race.  My future Olympic sprinter!   Zoom zoom zoom

Everyone grab their Mickey Ears!  We just returned from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World.  We flew down to FL from MA, my sister and her beautiful family and my aunt and cousin all flew from CA, and my mom traveled from MO!   All 11 of us stayed in one beautiful villa right on the Walt Disney property and had a great time. We celebrated JillMama's 60th birthday in style.   We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday while in WDW! Everyone had a great time! We celebrated Halloween a little early at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!   Can you tell we're the Avengers!?!  Eli was the Incredible Hulk, Tobias was Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man), James was Captain America, and I was Black Widow. By the end of the night, the Incredible Hulk was done, but still really cute! Gabe (age 4) and James got along great! Elias and Gavin (also 2) were fast friends too. Fun times on a ride with my little man! Rrrr Matey!  ...

Winter in Boston

Happy February!  I can't believe I haven't updated since November when we've had such an exciting couple of months!   Our Lego family for Christmas 2014 designed by James!  There are a lot of firsts and developmental milestones in first grade!  James finished his first chapter book over the Christmas break!  So proud of him - he is reading above grade level. James also remains very active with track and is working with his gym teacher to start a running club at his elementary school! This was a fun assignment for the entire family.  Once he completed the assignment, James presented it to his class. We did family Christmas pictures this year with a great photographer.  We met at Minute Man National Park - where Paul Revere was captured- and had fun taking pictures together.  I worked the night before and it was cold out, but the pictures still turned out great! The 2014 Walters Family Christmas picture! My two cuti...
