Our new arrival!

James and Eli proudly announce the arrival of their baby sister, Cora Violet!

Arriving just 2 weeks early, Cora Violet, was born 3/2/15 at 4:10am.
Proud Mama!  It was a fast (2.5 hours from first contraction to delivery) but uncomplicated.
Proud Dad!  Tobias was a great birth coach and was so happy to meet his baby girl.
Proud big brothers!  James and Eli visited the hospital about 12 hours after Cora was born and were so happy to meet her.
The boys gave Cora her first super hero sticker too!
Sweet little hand!
Sweet little feet!

Eli's school even posted a special announcement for him!  Both boys were able to bring in pictures to show their friends.
My mom flew in just hours after Cora's birth to help with the boys.  It was wonderful to have her here!
Time to go home!
Cora's first car ride!
The boys were very excited and James even created this card for Cora.
To celebrate her birth we made a special birthday cake and Cora even brought the boys special presents!
Lego time!  The boys were very impressed with Cora knowing exactly what they wanted - they even shared their Lego men with her!
Another sweet card from James!
Last week Tobias' mom flew out to meet Cora and help us out.

There were a lot of cuddles for Cora!
And cuddles for Eli too!
There was even time for a pizza party!
James even had time for some cooking lessons!
It has been a wonderful couple of weeks!  We are really enjoying this new family of 5 thing!
This happened by accident - they all chose their own shirts independently - and they all chose super heroes from the Justice League!
My sweet big boy giving Cora an Eskimo kiss.
My sweet baby boy holding Cora while watching tv!
My sweet husband working on his thesis while taking care of his baby girl!
Cora and her bunny, Buzz.
Love this picture as it really shows the personalities of my boys!
Cora's first bath!
Another change around here - there's a whole lot of pink!
Saturday morning cartoon time - Tobias is a little sleep deprived!
We celebrated Pi Day with cherry pie and Legos!
And this picture... not sure what happened here but James somehow talked Eli into wearing a box one night.  Just too funny!
Thank you for sharing in our joy!  We are so happy to have these 3 healthy, wonderful miracles!

Fast as the Flash

The boys have a need for speed!  Recently James and Eli built Pine Wood derby cars to compete in the James' Boy Scout troop. In the beginning... We did some scholarly research to prepare.  Thank you YouTube! My step-dad, AKA Pawpaw was a big help and taught James to use power tools. Sanding is always fun! James designed and built his car with minimal assistance. Spray paint is always fun. Added weights to make it as heavy as the rules allowed. The finished products! The race was a lot of fun! James didn't win but he worked really hard and was really proud of his car. While his derby car wasn't the fastest, James was the fastest in a recent track race.  My future Olympic sprinter!   Zoom zoom zoom

M-I-C-K-E-Y and a bunch of other fun stuff

Everyone grab their Mickey Ears!  We just returned from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World.  We flew down to FL from MA, my sister and her beautiful family and my aunt and cousin all flew from CA, and my mom traveled from MO!   All 11 of us stayed in one beautiful villa right on the Walt Disney property and had a great time. We celebrated JillMama's 60th birthday in style.   We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday while in WDW! Everyone had a great time! We celebrated Halloween a little early at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!   Can you tell we're the Avengers!?!  Eli was the Incredible Hulk, Tobias was Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man), James was Captain America, and I was Black Widow. By the end of the night, the Incredible Hulk was done, but still really cute! Gabe (age 4) and James got along great! Elias and Gavin (also 2) were fast friends too. Fun times on a ride with my little man! Rrrr Matey!  ...

Winter in Boston

Happy February!  I can't believe I haven't updated since November when we've had such an exciting couple of months!   Our Lego family for Christmas 2014 designed by James!  There are a lot of firsts and developmental milestones in first grade!  James finished his first chapter book over the Christmas break!  So proud of him - he is reading above grade level. James also remains very active with track and is working with his gym teacher to start a running club at his elementary school! This was a fun assignment for the entire family.  Once he completed the assignment, James presented it to his class. We did family Christmas pictures this year with a great photographer.  We met at Minute Man National Park - where Paul Revere was captured- and had fun taking pictures together.  I worked the night before and it was cold out, but the pictures still turned out great! The 2014 Walters Family Christmas picture! My two cuti...
