Family Day 2014

Six years ago today our little miracle became legally part of our family.  We now celebrate this special day with a focus on the entire family.    My little miracles just chillin' together! This is my life now - I have 3 students.  Eli attends preschool at MIT 2 days a week.  James continues to love his kindergarten class.  Tobias is also enjoying his studies. For MLK Jr day the kids in James' class wrote their own dreams.  James' dream is "My family are having a picnic."  Guess which one is me?  Love the curls! Last weekend we tried ice skating for the first time.  Fun way to spend the day but don't expect to see any of us in the 2018 Winter Olympics! The boys grabbing a bit to eat at the Boston Common, beneath the Learning statue. James' school had a half day earlier this week.  Since it was a day when Eli was in school, James and I went for a long walk and snuck in a movie.  To celebrate Fam...

Winter wonderland

Happy New Year!  2014 has been a busy year so far, but thing are going really well.  We started off 2014 with a traditional New Year's dinner of cornbread (gold), collard greens (dollars), black eyed peas (luck), and fried chicken (because it tastes good).  We also made special New Years cookies, basically a donut that the boys really enjoy.  It's a special tradition we all look forward to.  There has been a lot of snow here in Boston and some chilly days.  We try to be creative with ways to enjoy our inside time though. TV time - always fun! Why share when each kid can use a different tablet?!  Of course we don't always stay inside - we just have to bundle up warmly for outside time. The boys are all ready to go sledding!  Fun times. Playing with toys is fun too! Elias enjoys coloring too. Some days we can even play at the park.  Tobias started at MIT in early January.  He has been really bu...

Elias is 2

Happy Birthday to our little Elias! Hard to believe he is now two years old. Happy Anniversary to Tobias and I - today is our 9th wedding anniversary as well.    Elias enjoyed his birthday cupcake! Tasty birthday cupcake cake! We celebrated a couple of days early while Grandpa Mel was still visiting. Elias' favorite food is pizza so we ordered in pizza for his birthday dinner.  We've enjoyed a wonderful month of December.  The boys really enjoyed the Advent season and were really excited for the arrival of Christmas.  Grandpa Mel flew in from California to celebrate Christmas with us and we all enjoyed a great visit. Elias and Tobias enjoyed helping each other open their Christmas present.  James didn't need any help opening up his presents! Elias' favorite present was a ukulele.  He loves music.  James asked for this special chair - complete with a book light, cup holder, and back massag...
